According to an SAPD officer, the ‘89 Buick was making  a left turn from the inside lane of traffic, which caused the collision with the GMC, launching the truck into an Adopt a Spot sign in the median , mowing it down , and mauling the brick border around the statue  that stands in the median.

The driver of the Buick was issued a citation for left turn, wrong lane. Although there were no injuries reported an ambulance was on stand-by at the scene.
