Bryant and Houston-Harte Crash Sends Woman to Hospital

Both drivers claimed to have a green light when a white Toyota Camry t-boned a minivan at Bryant and the Houston-Harte Expressway, San Angelo police said. The crash happened at around 2:20 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

The driver of the Toyota was taken to Shannon for non-incapcitating injuries. She was seen walking around at the crash scene.

Police said that no citations will be issued; there were no other witnesses.

A medic explained that delayed injuries are common in traffic accidents. When a driver experiences the locking of the seatbelt and possible airbag deployment during impact, adrenaline masks the pain from the bruising. After the adrenaline wears off, the pain is no longer masked. At that point, many crash victims will accept medical treatment.
