EXCLUSIVE: Video of First Concrete Pour at New Tom Green County Jail

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Just before 10 a.m. Thursday contractors at the new Tom Green County Jail began pouring concrete on the 20,000 sq. ft. $51 million 328 bed facility.  

The new jail is being built next to the Roy K. Robb detention facility on U.S. 67 North.

Tom Green County facilities maintenance director Don Killam said construction on the new jail is expected to take another 22 months and is on schedule.  White Construction out of Austin, TX is the Construction Manager at Risk for the project which is expected to be completed in mid-2019.
