Possession was the overwhelming leader in jail bookings Monday, accounting for nine of 37 inmates put behind bars. Theft came in second at six charges, and four people were booked on charges of forgery. The report reflects two charges apiece of public intoxication, DWI and pot, while one inmate apiece was booked for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, walking with traffic and assault.
Twenty-eight inmates were released on Monday.
