Police Investigate Sunday Night Shooting

 

The San Angelo Police Department is investigating the shooting of an elderly married couple that were located inside their Southland residence yesterday evening. 

Just before 10:00 pm on Sunday, July 13, San Angelo Police were called to a residence in the 5800 block of Blue Grama Trail for the report of a shooting.  Once on scene, police located the elderly couple inside the residence; both appeared to have been shot.  Both the 84-year-old male and 82-year-old female where transported to Community Hospital for their injuries.

Personnel with the Criminal Investigations Division and Crime Scene Unit were called to the scene to continue the investigation.  Louis Marquart, 84, was arrested for Aggravated Assault Family Violence and transported to Tom Green County Jail after being treated at Community Hospital.  This is an ongoing investigation and no further information is available at this time.

Whatever the punishment, it will most likely be a life sentence. It would be interesting to know what type of issue would lead an 80-year-old man to kill 2 people.
There was nothing in the sorry that said anyone was killed. I read they shot each other or he shot her then himself.
