Harley Crashes in Sunday Morning Motorcycle Excursion from Midland

 

Ten motorcycles were traveling east on RM 853 from Midland, headed to San Angelo at 11:50 a.m. Sunday morning. 

At approximately the intersection of Pulliam Ranch Road, Sarah Wright, 72, driving a 2011 Harley Davidson motorcycle hit a patch of caliche and lost control. She was thrown from the bike as the Harley continued into a barrow ditch and laid over on its side. 

Wright landed approximate 10 feet away from cycle and sustained minor injuries.

Wright was transported to Shannon Medical Center via ambulance.

The investigating DPS Trooper Dykstra said there were no citations issued.

The speed limit on the road is 55 mph.
