Drug and Alcohol Charges Half of Sunday Jail Bookings

Eight inmates were booked for drug and alcohol related charges Sunday, accounting over half of the 15 new inmates taking up residency at TGC Jail.

Of those arrested, five were booked on possession charges, one of which was classified as ‘dangerous drugs’ and one possession of marijuana in combination with the unlawful carrying of a weapon.

In addition to the drug chrages, three inmates were booked for driving while intoxicated.

A total of 13 inmates were released on Sunday.
