San Angelo Lions Clubs Can See Ewe Now!
SAN ANGELO, TX -- Lions Clubs International is celebrating 100 years of service by creating lasting projects to benefit communities and San Angelo’s East Side Lions Club is participating by unveiling a new sheep statue downtown and providing funds for a fire safety trailer for the San Angelo Fire Department.
Lions members from all San Angelo Clubs converged on the San Angelo Lions Charities building on Concho Street Saturday morning to unveil the sheep.
East Side Lions Club member Jerry Wilson said his club is celebrating 60 years in existence and they are happy to have the statue and the fire safety trailer.
Club Director JoAnn Avants says they asked members what they wanted to do to celebrate 60 years and the members came up with the fire safety trailer and the sheep statue to mark their Charities building downtown.
The Lions Club District Governor Armando Subia Sr. from Midland was on hand for the unveiling Saturday.
