From Thanksgiving to Christmas retail employees have not had a break yet. Holiday traffic is not predicted to slow down until after the new year.
“Chaotic,” is how Kyle Baumgardner, a retail associate at Dillard’s, described the crowd shopping the day after Christmas.
The department store marked down their Christmas merchandise including holiday gift sets.
“You don’t realize how many people do their Christmas shopping after Christmas,” one customer said. She noted that a lot of savings can be made for gifts that won’t be given until after the holiday has passed.
Baumgardner said some prices have been marked for today only, while others are marked for permanent clearance. Dillard’s will continue to have significant mark downs on their merchandise through Dec. 31.
