Career Fair Draws Hopefuls

Career hopefuls streamed into the McNease Convention Center for the Eventures Career Fair on Tuesday.

Barely an hour into the fair, over 100 people had already ventured forth to check out job options available at the fair.

“They come out in droves,” said Kim De La Pena, General Manager of Eventures. “Last fair we hosted we had over 700 people.”

The sheer amount of employers that set up booths might have been part of the draw.

Xchem, Mosiac, University of Phoenix, Whataburger, Texas Army National Guard, Concho Valley Workforce, Nabors Completion, Dixie Electric, Suddenlink, Time Clock Plus, Department of Public Safety, Account Control Technology, and many others set up booths, handed out applications and even interviewed prospective employees.

Said employers had a great variety of positions open, from part-time entry-level positions, to jobs requiring master degrees.

Eventures hosts many job fairs all over Texas. To find out when the next one in San Angelo will be visit http://eventures-permianbasin.com, email [email protected], or call (432) 889-9107
