Man Jailed for Evading After Running Light in Front of Cop, Vehicle Pursuit

 

A 33-year-old San Angelo man was arrested on Saturday morning and booked into the jail at around 5:30 a.m. after running a red light and evading police in a motor vehicle.

Early Saturday morning, a San Angelo police officer was en route to a fight call in the 100 block of W. 8th St. when he noticed Baily run a red light. Baily evaded officers but was eventually caught and arrested. 

At some point between the initial fight call and Baily catching the responding officer's attention, a report of shots fired came out.

The incident is under investigation and the Criminal Investigations Division has not released any information as to whether the fight, the gunshots and the vehicle pursuit are related. They have further not released information as to whether Baily was involved in the other incidents.

No injuries were reported.
