Drivers Sent to Hospital in Crash at Ave. N and Randolph

A greyish-brown Buick Century and a burgundy Mitsubishi Endeavor have collided at the intersection of Ave. N and Randolph St., resulting in both drivers being placed on stretchers and transported to the hospital.

The crash occurred in the middle of the four-way intersection, and is currently blocking all access to Randolph St. at the cross. Ave. N is down to one westbound lane; eastbound traffic is completely blocked off.

Update 3:11 p.m.

An investigating officer said that both vehicles were traveling westbound on Ave. N, when the driver of the Endeavor attempted to make a left turn on Randolph. The driver of the Century then plowed into the rear end of the vehicle.

Both of the female drivers sustained injuries in the crash that were not life-threatening and were transported to the hospital. The driver of the Century was cited for failure to control speed.
