Driver Flees on Foot After Crashing Into Couple Parking a Tahoe

An older San Angelo couple was returning home late Wednesday evening when they were hit while backing into their driveway. As they backed their late model Chevrolet Tahoe into their driveway on Baker Street, a Pontiac Grand Am slammed into the side of the black-colored SUV.

San Angelo police said that both vehicles were eastbound on Baker Street. The Grand Am was some distance behind the Tahoe. The Tahoe was backing into the couple’s driveway when the Grand Am crashed into it.

After the crash, police said that the doors of the Grand Am flew open and the driver fled on foot. A passenger in the Grand Am sustained non-incapacitating injuries and was sent to the hospital. Police said there may have been a second passenger who also fled on foot.

No one in the Tahoe was injured, and unlike the Grand Am, the Tahoe appears to have sustained minor damage.

Police said they are opening a hit and run investigation to locate the driver of the Grand Am. When found, the driver will possibly face charges for leaving a scene of an accident and failure to leave information.

Ok so heres my question, How do they not know who the driver was and how can you say there may have been another passenger when clearly you state that there was one passenger from the grandam sent to the hospital. Are they mute? Are they not speaking? I kind of feel some things are left out here. Just saying.
The article says the driver fled and the passenger was taken to the hospital. Many times the person that was caught will not tell so it is no surprise the they would not tell the name of the driver or if there was anyone else in the car. They say things like "I don't know anything man, they were just giving me a ride." You can watch "Cops" on TV and here all the crazy stories people tell. I always like when they say "that's not my stuff, these aren't my pants".
