Motorcyclist Hit by Car in Three-Vehicle Accident

A lane on the 22000 block of College Hills has been blocked due to a three vehicle accident at the intersection of S College Hills and Sac Ave. 

Lorrie Keating was driving her maroon 2014 Hyundai when she was struck from behind by a motorcyclist who then flew into oncoming traffic and was hit by a car.

"I was driving down College Hills going down to five points (the intersection at Ave. N), [doing the] speed limit. I was in the left-hand land and a car in front of me stopped to turn--make a left-hand turn onto Sac. I stopped and the motorcycle behind me didn't and he went right into my back end," Keating said. "He flipped off the bike into oncoming car from the other direction. he got underneath the car and was dragged. He's ok as far as i know, but he's already been taken away and the cops are here now, checking it out.

"The car that he was pinned under, he was completely under it," she continued. "His head was near the driver's side front wheel well. A bunch of people got out, lifted the car up and rolled it back out so they could get him out. There's another young lady here that provided--I think she works at a...local daycare, so she has first aid experience so she was taking care of him until the ambulance got here. Another man jumped in with this young girl...she was very upset, but another man sat down with her until the police came and got her calmed down."

Currently, the severity of the motorcyclist's injuries has not been released.  

Update 2:55 p.m.

An officer on scene confirmed Keating's story in the official report to media. The motorcyclist was riding a Ural when the accident took place. He was taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries. The motorcyclist's legs went between the tires of the '97 Honda Civic, but he was not run over by the tires, the officer said. He was cited for failure to control speed. He was wearing a helmet when the accident occurred. 

The call came in at 2:03 p.m.
