Milton Dale Hudgens passed away into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 3, 2018 after an aggressive battle with brain cancer in San Angelo at the age of 74.
Milton was born in San Angelo, Texas to Milton Glenn Hudgens and Jessie Hudgens and was an electrical contractor in San Angelo and worked in the electrical industry for over 40 years. He was married to Barbara Scott Compton in January 1993 and both enjoyed traveling, camping, dancing and being with family and friends. Milton loved hunting and fishing at an early age and enjoyed raising Llewellin Setters and participating in and judging bird dog field trials. Woodworking was another hobby he enjoyed and made beautiful items while meeting many friends in the Wood Turning and Wood Working Clubs. Milton was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church and the Fellowship Sunday School Class and Community Bible Study. Milton had a wonderful sense of humor and could always come up with a practical solution to problems and will be dearly missed.
He thoroughly enjoyed his family and is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Brian Hudgens and wife Kristi of Frisco Tx ; daughter, Christy Hudgens Anderson and husband Tom of Allen Tx; stepson, Shawn Compton and wife Melissa of San Angelo Tx; grandchildren Cody and Kylee Hudgens; Nicholas, Christian and Grace Anderson; and many beloved friends. Visitation will be 5 P.M to 7 P.M. Friday, April 6, 2018 at First United Methodist Church. Memorial service will be Saturday, April 7, 2018 at First United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM under the direction of Harper Funeral Home.
