Jesusita "Jessie" Losoya Zamarippa was born on October 30, 1916 and went to her final resting place on December 17, 2016 at 2:00am, at the age of 100. She is preceded in death by her parents Pedro and Isabel Losoya, three brothers Paul, Louis, Henry Losoya, one sister Eutemia Enriques, her husband Ralph M. Zamarippa Sr., her daughter Rosalie Zamarippa, and son Rudolph "Rudy" Zamarippa. She is survived by her brother Raymond Losoya of Waco, sister Orosia Mijares of San Angelo, son Ralph Zamarippa Jr. of San Angelo, son Roy Zamarippa and wife Janene of Colorado, daughter Rachel Elkins and husband Art of San Angelo, Raymond Zamarippa and wife Ginger of Grand Prairie, Rita Tambunga and husband Willie of Grand Prairie, Ronny Zamarippa and wife Gilda of San Angelo. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Jessie had eight children, seventeen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Jessie and her husband Ralph owned and operated Star dry cleaning for many years. Jessie was a very skilled seamstress. As a seamstress she made wedding gowns for her daughters and several others. She loved to cook and to take care of her grandchildren. She was a devout Catholic and attended both Sacred Heart and St. Joseph Catholic churches. Jessie was a very loving and caring Daughter, Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Jessie always had a warm smile and caring heart for everyone she knew.
Services will be: Rosary officiated by Steve Zimmerman Wednesday 7:00pm at Johnsons Funeral home, Mass Thursday 10:00am at The Cathedral Church of the Sacred Heart with the Very Reverend Steven Hicks presiding. Weston and Colin Zamarippa will serve as alter servers.
Pallbearers will be grandsons: Roman, Roy, Justin and Ralph Zamarippa, Jody Elkins, Ryan Tambunga. Honorary pallbearers are Ray Elkins, Robert, Ruben Zamarippa, Art Elkins Jr.
The Zamarippa family would like to give a special thank you to, Dr. Chinn for his special care of Jesse. The Zamarippas would also like to thank the staff of Angels Care and Hospice of San Angelo, the Sixth floor Nursing staff at Shannon Hospital, and all the Physical therapists.
