Lonnie Haley Confirmed Dead By County Officials

SAN ANGELO, TX - County officials have confirmed the death of Lonnie Haley, a troubled local homeless man who has been in and out of jail numerous times in recent years.

The confirmation came today, April 30.

Speculation started to stir on social media regarding his death yesterday.

According to the District Clerk’s Office, Haley has been arrested hundreds of times. Social media posts indicate Haley is a 1982 San Angelo Lake View High School graduate.

San Angelo LIVE! heard that Haley became sick while in jail and was taken to a hospital. The illness was said to be a staph infection in his stomach.

He was hospitalized for two to four days and passed away.

We requested more information from the county for dates regarding what happened.

The story will be updated when that information comes in.
